Magpie

There isn't a certain statement to say why does the beach at Tang-chi is called "Magpie" even now. Some said it may related to the terrain which we can see apparently from the aerial photo that looks like the horse's nose.

 

In addition, We can found the word "Magpie" in China Sea Directory  that they use kind of bird to describe the area.

Both translation by sound and meaning are coincidentally the same.
